Hi, I’m Jeff.
I'm an art director and visual designer based in Austin, Texas. For the past five years I've been the primary creative voice for one of Austin's largest churches — concepting and executing campaigns, building web experiences, running a print operation, and shipping visual work across digital, print, and video on a weekly cadence.
But honestly, the job title has always been a little misleading. What I actually do is figure things out.
I have a wood shop in my garage and a 3D printer I use to design practical things I need. I build stuff when a solution doesn't exist. That same instinct shows up at work — when a project calls for something I haven't done before, I don't look for a reason to pass. I invest the time, pick it up, and ship it. Pixel art animation, motion graphics, broadcast lower thirds, WordPress development, print production management — I didn't arrive knowing all of that. I just wasn't afraid to learn it.
My strongest skills are graphic design, illustration, art direction, web design, and print production, with Adobe Creative Suite as my daily driver. I'm also comfortable in HTML/CSS, Procreate, After Effects, and Blender — and I'm always adding to the list.
I believe the best design doesn't just look good. It draws people in, gives them a reason to care, and makes them want to come back. That's what I'm chasing with every project.
When I'm not designing, I'm hiking, fishing, or biking around Austin — and occasionally listening to Nateland, which you should probably know about me upfront.
I'm currently exploring new opportunities. If you think we might be a good fit, I'd love to connect.
